How It Works

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is the same category of light-based technology used in professional hair-removal clinics. Gentle pulses of light are absorbed by the pigment in your hair, which disrupts the follicle's growth cycle. With consistent weekly use, hair grows back slower, finer, and sparser over time.

Your routine, in three steps

1. Shave the area

Shave within 24 hours before your session so the light energy reaches the follicle instead of the hair above the skin. Don't wax or epilate — the follicle needs to be intact.

2. Glide and flash

Choose your intensity level, place the flash window flat against your skin, and glide. The built-in skin sensor only allows a flash on full skin contact. A full-body session takes about 10 minutes.

3. Repeat weekly

Use it once a week for the first 4–8 weeks. Most users notice slower regrowth in the first weeks, with visible reduction building from there. After that, a session every 4–8 weeks maintains your results. Using it more often than once a week will not speed things up.

What to expect, week by week

  • Weeks 1–2: Hair grows back slower and softer.
  • Weeks 3–4: Visibly less hair; patches start staying smooth.
  • Weeks 5–8: Most treated areas stay smooth with occasional touch-ups.

IPL delivers long-lasting hair reduction, not permanent removal. Individual results vary by hair colour, skin tone, and consistency of use.

Is it safe?

The device flashes only on full skin contact, and adjustable intensity levels let you start gently. It's designed for Fitzpatrick skin tones I–V and works best on darker hair. It is not suitable for very dark skin tones (VI) or white, grey, red, or very light blonde hair.

Avoid the eyebrows, the eye area, and tattoos. Consult your doctor before using IPL if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Always follow the included user manual.
